The creator wants to share his lifestyle with all human beings on earth. He wants his will on earth to be done as it is in heaven. Consequently, He created us in his image and likeness to have dominion over everything. Moses wrote: “Then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Gen 1: 26) Herewith us, you will learn about how Jesus came to the Kingdom to fix the damage from Eden. King Jesus restored the territory, our relationships with the creator, our Identity, our citizenships and gave us a new lifestyle. Now, let us have dominion forever.
A lot of words in scripture can have a lot of different meanings, so as you study them and become more familiar with them, you start to notice this. One of these is the word “Kingdom”. When the Bible speaks of the “kingdom of God”, we necessarily have to think of two complementary aspects. God is the first thing to think about. He is king because he is the sovereign, he has all the power and his dignity is unmatched, his majesty is unique, all authority emanates from him, he is three times holy, and, of course, he is the only one who has the legitimate right to govern this world because he was its creator. The book of revelation has several instances in which God’s creatures, conscious of his majesty, express their adoration for him: (Rev 4:10-11) “The twenty-four elders bow down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Lord, you are worthy of receive glory and honor and power; because you created all things, and by your will, they exist and were created. And it was also explained in (Rev 5:12) “They said with a loud voice: The Lamb that was slain is worthy of taking power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise.” As we can appreciate, these are fundamental events for the Christian faith, and that in this brief passage are not only mentioned but also appear related to each other, giving us a global vision of the successive stages that God is following for the final establishment of his Kingdom visibly on this earth.
